Win Akeley specializes in the financial and
strategic management issues of growth and turnaround businesses. A
former Fortune 100 corporate executive in finance and strategy, Mr.
Akeley participated in the turnaround management of Ford Motor
Company and Consolidated Rail Corporation and has been vice
president of a national valuation and financial advisory firm. He
founded a "Philadelphia 100" growth company and has advised many
small companies and nonprofit organizations. His consulting and
financial management experience runs from entrepreneurial,
venture-backed firms to large nonprofit organizations. Examples
include experience as the Chief Financial Officer of a national
anesthesiology firm during its initial and successful development
efforts to raise venture capital and as the Chief Financial Officer
of Philadelphia's Regional Performing Arts Center while it completed
its $250 million fund-raising effort and built the new Kimmel Center
in Philadelphia.
He has conducted business and strategic planning
workshops for the Wharton Small Business Development Center and the
U.S. Small Business Administration. Win earned his MBA degree from
the University of Michigan Business School and he is a Certified
Financial Manager (CFM), a Certified Management Accountant
(CMA), and an Accredited Investment Fiduciary Analyst (AIFA).
